Do you think its logical that to think you must think about what you were thinking about in order to think of an answer?

Not all the way, you must almost always keep your focus on something to locate an answer.

By simultaneously keeping some of your focus on the question and the thought.

But if you are unable to keep thinking on two things simotaniously then which do you choose, Thought or answer?

Depends on the person, I would choose to keep my thought on the question, for if you study the question hard enough, you'll be able to decipher the meaning behind the question.

But to keep your mind on the thought, you'll only find a way to answer the question, but not to actually find the answer.

If the extent is located in the thought, then you must then think about the thought, thus you find yourself back at the origional statment...

But if the extent is the true extent of the thought and the thought changes, then so does the extent, but if the thought doesn't change then what is the extent of the thought in the first place?

if the logic causes confusion it is still logic whether or not the confused person realizes the logic it is logical. just means that the confused person isn't smart enough to understand it as logic

Confusion never truly leaves a person, it just is dormant till the right time then re-emerges. sometimes with dire results.
